Return and Refunds
Talking Car (TC) hardware carries a one-year Limited Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. If you are not satisfied with your TC System please contact our Technical Support at: email@example.com for a Return Material Authorization request within 14 calendar days of the receipt of the product. If the item is returnable and you send it back to us unopened and undamaged in the original box, TC will exchange it or offer you a refund based on your original method of payment. You must return the product to the TC within 14 calendar days of the issuance of the Return Material Authorization. All products must be packed in the original, unmarked packaging including any accessories, documentation and registration that shipped with the product. TC will assess a 20% restocking fee on any opened hardware or accessory. TC may ask you to provide a major credit card, usually the one you used for the original purchase so TC can assess the 20% restocking fee. It takes 6 business days for the refund to apply.
NOTE: TC recommends that you use the UPS or their affiliated carriers that offer shipment tracking for all returns and either insure your package for safe return to TC or declare the full value of the shipment so that you are completely protected if the shipment is lost or damaged in transit. If you choose not to use a carrier that offers tracking or insure or declare the full value of the product, you will be responsible for any loss or damage to the product during shipping.
Dead On Arrival (DOA) Product: System Failure Out of the Box.
A TC-branded hardware product is considered DOA if it shows symptoms of a hardware failure, preventing basic operability, when you first use it after opening the box.
Important: TC System has been tested and certified for Quality Control, however, we recommend a basic sound test before installing the hardware on your car to make sure it is functioning. If you believe that your product is DOA, please contact our Technical Support within 15 calendar days of the invoice date and out specialist will contact you promptly and help you troubleshoot and resolve the problem. If your product is determined for the replacement, TC at its expense, will ship another of the same product. If TC determines that you have misrepresented a returned product’s condition and that the product is not DOA, TC may impose a $300 handling fee. This DOA policy applies only to TC -branded hardware products currently offered at the Talking Car Checkout. This DOA policy does not apply to third-party products that do not bear the TC brand name. You must call the manufacturer directly with any third-party, such us issues with your mobile devices. By purchasing Talking Car System, you acknowledge that you have had an opportunity to review Talking Car’s warranty terms, have done so to the degree you need to be familiar with them, and you accept their terms and conditions, including the limitations, exclusions, and disclaimers in them. Certain state laws do not allow limitations on implied warranties or the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. If these laws apply to you, some or all of the disclaimers, exclusions or limitations may not apply to you, and you might have additional rights. TC is not responsible for typographical errors and reserves the right to cancel any order you have placed if there was a typographical error. TC reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of sale at the Talking Car LLC at any time. TC may make changes to any products or services offered at the Talking Car LLC, or to the applicable prices for any such products or services, at any time, without notice. To the extent permitted by law, all sales at the TC are governed by California law, without giving effect to its conflict of law provisions.
